| Introduction
ASPE Delaware has established an Academic Assistance Program to promote and foster full or part time higher education in estimating or construction related fields such as architecture, engineering, construction management, general contracting, subcontracting, construction trades such as carpentry, plumbing, masonry, etc. ASPE Delaware will reimburse selected students (up to a specified amount in a given school year) for tuition and books (but not fees or other expenses) required for Estimating or construction related undergraduate programs at an accredited technical school, college or university. These undergraduate programs may not already covered by another scholarship or assistance program. Academic Assistance Program Rules 1. Any student in Estimating or a construction related program How To Apply To apply, you must complete and submit an Academic Assistance Program Application (downloadable .pdf file) and attach your high school/college transcript; a copy of college aid applications; two letters of recommendation; employment history or resume; copies of college entrance letter(s); and any other pertinent information. Applications, with required attachments, shall be sent to: Delaware Chapter ASPE Each application is good for one year only, and each applicant must re-apply annually. If your application is accepted, you will receive a letter from ASPE Delaware, Inc. stating the specific amount of reimbursement that has been awarded. How To Obtain Re-Imbursement To obtain reimbursement, submit a copy of your letter of acceptance along with all original receipts (any fees must be designated as such to separate them from tuition costs) and your official grades to ASPE Delaware. The reimbursement amount is dependent on the grade received - 100% re-imbursement for A or B grades; 50% reimbursement for a C or "Pass" in pass/fail courses. There is no reimbursement for grades below a C. Taxation on Tuition Reimbursement: Taxes, if any, on tuition reimbursement are solely the student's responsibility.

This program is offered each year to promote and foster full or part time higher education in estimating or construction related fields. Celebrating along with 34 guests at our monthly meeting at the Christiana Hilton on November 11th is Dalton's father, Stan Twardus (left) of Nickle Electric.
